The time has come and everybody’s talking, including co-writer Tom Peyer in this awesome ComicBookResources.com interview!
Although Peyer does confirm that Tek was created by an idiot in the television persona of “Stephen Colbert,” the space hero is not himself an idiot. “It’s a real balancing act,” Peyer said. “It took us a while to get the right mix of Tek’s heroism and ‘Stephen’s’ idiocy. If we did it right, it should appeal to anyone who likes comedy and/or space opera. In other words, everyone.” -ComicBookResources.comRead the Entire ComicBookResources.com Interview Here

NoFactZone.net is getting into the mix too, with a preview of Stephen Colbert’s Tek Jansen #2

An excellent article went up today about metafiction on Nexus Graphics, the SFsite.com. In the article they use Scott Pilgrim as an example of metafiction in indie publishing … and here I thought all package delivery girls could rolerblade through subspace.

And the reviews start rolling in! ThePullBox.com takes a gander at Ray Fawkes and Cameron Stwearts rumble in the hard rocking post-apoc jungle The Apocalipstix!
“Even though Fawkes is using all the story staples of the nuclear wasteland, The Apocalipstix reads like a fresh new story wrapped in the blanket of familiarity. Bottom Line: Pick up The Apocalipstix when it hits shelves this July, or at it’s premiere at Comic Con. Grade: A” -ThePullBox.com

New creator Lars Brown gets more praise as North World hits home with more reviews. Playbackstl.com and ComicsBulletin.com both ran reviews last week and everyone seems to agree, this is a series worth reading!

The long ride has finally come to an end. Local #12 is here and everybody has something good to say! Brokenfrontier.com ran an amazing review last week. Even game super-site IGN.com took the time to point out how awesome this series is.

Comic guru and Fresh Ink host Blair Butler adds Scott Pilgrim Vol 4: Scott Pilgrim Gets it Together to her ever growing list of Oni recommended reading. We thank her … and promise the payoff is in the mail.
Obviously there are lots of great choices when deciding where to spend con panel time. We at Oni Press recommend these two panels for anyone interested in the field of sequential art.
